Meena Tharmaratnam is founder and creator of Ibhana Creations. Meena founded Ibhana Creations in 2002 to pursue her passion for textiles, design and people through Ibhana. The company’s mission: ·Promoting cross-cultural understanding through textiles and weaving

Meena retails an exclusive collection of women’s accessories…shawls, stoles, jackets, hats and jewelry, some sourced from the domestic U.S. market, some designed in-house and manufactured through vendors in India. Ibhana’s products can be purchased from the home showroom/studio in Bethesda, Maryland and at the numerous trunk shows and events Meena participates in.
In 2004, Meena began Ibhana’s line of limited-edition signature scarf program…The POWER OF a SCARF. To date, signature, custom-designed scarves have been designed and produced for The Washington Performing Arts Society’s 40th Anniversary, The MMMF Scholarship Fund (World Bank), the Wellness Community, The Swedish Women’s Educational Association, National Women’s Business Center, Adventist Healthcare, Potomac Theatre Club, PEO, and the Pierians, Inc. besides Ibhana’s in-house signature scarves Womanpower, Empowering Women, Playful Fall and Keys.
